9th Century

500 m from the temple area is a Jain temple which dates back to the 9th century of the Rashtrakuta dynasty. As in Ajanta, king Amoghavarsha or his son Krishna II, who patronized the Jain religion, built it. Unfortunately the wall of the circumbulatory round the shrine is in ruins.
